About hot yoga

Hot Flow Yoga is based on the traditional teaching of Vinyasa Flow Yoga set in an infrared heated environment with curated music. We offer a wide range of classes from the most advanced and sweaty Hot Power Flow to more restorative and slower Hot Yin Yoga. Our students also love Hot Pilates Fusion and Core Power (which is anything other than Yoga). Some of our special classes include our Hot Candlelight Flows and Aromatherapy classes. Come and try them all out!

Most of our classes are heated to 33-36 °C, we love a heated room. The heat is a support to your practice, our infrared panels are very therapeutic. The rays feel like the sun rays on a beach. Slowly building the heat up from inside and out.

At Hot Flow Yoga we are proud of our state of the art heating panels, as they heat the body from within making this a cleaner and safer form of heat. It helps your body to get rid of toxins, improving blood circulation and metabolism. This safe and gently heated environment leaves air natural with abundant oxygen levels.

About the classes

Apart from our Power Flow, all of our classes are suitable for all levels and our instructors will encourage you to modify according to your ability, never go into pain, and work the way that suits you best, beginner or advanced alike. The best first class for someone new to yoga depends on your level of fitness and what you want to achieve. If you’re still struggling to decide where to start, taking a Relax and Flow class will always be a good way to start your yoga journey.

We recommend drinking plenty of water leading up to your class and advise you not to eat a heavy meal in the 1.5 hours before class so you don’t practise on a full stomach.

If you have any questions about the class please talk to the teacher beforehand.

Tell the teacher if you have any injuries before class. Never work into pain, always stay in your comfort zone.

Wear something which is comfortable and allows you to move freely.

We recommend sweat wicking material and try to avoid bulky clothing as you will be sweating! All our classes should be practised with bare feet.

Bring 2 towels – one to place on top of your mat, and one to shower with. Towels can not be rented from our studio reception.

Bottled water – Feel free to bring your own reusable bottle. We offer tea before and after your class

Yoga mat – bring your own or they can be borrowed at our studios and are free of charge.

We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before class to enable enough time to check in and get ready.

Class check in opens 15 minutes before – we ask that you avoid arriving before this time as several of our studios will not be open until that time.

Our classes are taught in English.

Always try to arrive at least 10 minutes before class so you can get ready and settled in the studio. Classes will start on time, and latecomers will (generally) not be admitted.

Please avoid using deodorant sprays and heavy cologne / perfumes.

The studio is a place to switch off – so please don’t talk or bring phones into your class. Phones must be left in the changing rooms or lockers. If your studio does not provide lockers, (please leave your phone and any valuables at the back of the studio or as directed).

Please place a towel over your mat when practising.

Stay in the studio for the whole class, take a resting yoga pose if the class ever feels too intense. If you’re new to the heat you will acclimatise over the course of a few classes – being able to work in heat is the sign of a healthy body! If you must leave, signal to the teacher, so they are aware, but never walk around if you’re feeling dizzy. Let the teacher help you out.

Respect your fellow students by respecting the final relaxation (savasana) and only leave the studio room when the teacher states class is over.

Put your equipment back where you found it and spray the yoga mat with the mat spray and wipe them dry for the next student. If you left sweat on the floor around your mat, please use your towel or the mop to wipe it up.
