Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions have been prepared for membership and classes at Hot Flow Yoga Amsterdam.

1. Interpretation and Variation

In the Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply:

‘Company’ means Hot Flow Yoga. 

‘Member’ means any person that has signed up for an Eversports account and also accepted their Terms and Conditions. 

‘Studio’ means any of the Yoga Studios of the Company as published on our website(s) from time to time.

‘Website’ means www.hotflowyoga.nl or affiliated websites.

The Terms & Conditions are incorporated into the online booking system through Eversports.

The Company reserves the right to vary or revoke any of the Terms & Conditions from time to time, which it may consider necessary or suitable for the regulation of the governance of the Studio & the conduct of Members. Any such changes will be published on our websites and, until revoked, are binding on Members.

The Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of The Netherlands & subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.


2. Memberships

Subject to condition 2.2, when a person has signed up for an Eversports account online and accepted their Terms & Conditions, they shall become a Member of the Studio.

The Company reserves the right to withdraw, suspend, or refuse to renew the membership of any Member whose conduct is, or may be deemed to be, in the Company’s reasonable opinion, injurious to the character of the Studio or amounts to a breach of the Terms & Conditions or where such expulsion is otherwise to be in the interests of the other Members of the Studio. Any Member so expelled shall forfeit all privileges of membership and shall not be entitled to any refund for any period during which their membership is suspended.

The Studio may run promotional introductory offers from time to time. These offers are exclusively for new students who are not already registered (Members) with the Studio and are not for repeat use. 


3. Studio Opening Times

Details of class times at the Studio may vary from time to time. Class times will be published by the Studio on our Website. Studios are open 15 minutes before and after class.


4. Payment Terms

Details of class prices, class card prices, and memberships are available on our website or shall be such prices as determined by the Company from time to time.

Payments for classes at the Studio do not entitle you to attend classes of any other yoga Studio other than those operated by this Company (in the event that they are available).

Subject to any statutory right of cancellation, payments for classes, class card fees, monthly subscription fees, and annual payments are made non-refundable. Exceptions can be made for certain medical/personal circumstances at The Company’s discretion. 

Workshops, Retreats & Programs at Hot Flow Yoga are non-refundable. They can be credited to the account if notice is given with a minimum of 2 days prior to the workshop date due to unforeseen circumstances (exceptions made for certain medical/personal circumstances at The Company’s discretion). Deposits, however, are non-refundable.


5. Monthly Autopay Subscriptions

The provisions of this clause 5 shall only apply to a Member that applies for a monthly subscription membership by monthly Auto-Pay via their Eversports account. 

Any Member who purchases classes by Subscription shall be entitled to participate in the specified number of classes at the Studio until their Subscription terminates.

Members shall be given no less than 30 working days’ written notice of any increase in their Subscription (unless otherwise agreed in their contract).

A Member may cancel their monthly Subscription at any time through their account on Eversports.

Members who do not wish to accept a change proposed by the Company to the Terms & Conditions or to pay an increase in any Subscription fees may cancel their Subscription via their account on Eversports. 


6. Bookings and Cancellations

A Member may only book or reschedule sessions for themselves via Studio schedules on the Hot Flow Yoga website, via their Eversports account online and the Eversports app.

Sessions are booked on a first-come first-served basis. A Member may use the waiting list facility via their Eversports account in the event that their first choice session is unavailable. If a Member joins the waiting list for a particular session and then books that session, their booking will be subject to the Terms and Conditions Booking and Cancellations Policy in the usual way.

If a Member joins the waitlist for a class, the Member will not automatically be allocated a space in the class once a spot becomes available. Members must accept the waitlist notification via their Eversports app or online account.

Class cancellations must be made online via the Members Eversports account online or via their app.

Morning Classes

If a Member is unable to attend a class their cancellation will be accepted up to 8 hours before its start time. For all types of classes and memberships, if you cancel more than 8 hours before the start of class, no penalty is applied. This allows waitlist students to be contacted and join the class. 

Afternoon and Evening Classes

If a Member is unable to attend a class their cancellation will be accepted up to 3 hours before its start time. For all types of classes and memberships, if you cancel more than 3 hours before the start of class, no penalty is applied. This allows waitlist students to be contacted and join the class. 

‘Late’ cancellations i.e. those made within 8 hours for morning classes or 3 hours for afternoon and evening classes of the class start time will incur the following penalty:

  • Single class cards: If you have pre-paid for your class, you will lose the class you have paid for.
  • Class Card Members: A class will be deducted from the total class card amount.
  • Unlimited Members: Monthly Unlimited Members receive the perk of no penalty for late cancellations.

A ‘No Show’ (Failure to turn up for a class at all without prior cancellation) will incur the following:

  • Single class cards: If you have pre-paid for your class, you will lose the class you have paid for.
  • Class card Members: If you do not show up for a booked class, A class will be deducted from the total class card amount.
  • Unlimited Members: Monthly Unlimited Members receive the perk of no penalty for no shows.


If a Member has booked a private lesson then the same cancellation policy applies, but the cancellation window is 24h (instead of 3h).

Please note: cancellation policies for third-parties such as Class Pass and OneFit might differ.

On arrival at the Studio, Members must ensure that they are checked into the class by the teacher. Failure to do this will be treated as a ‘no show’ and the booked space may be given to someone else. 


7. Personal Belongings

Personal belongings are brought into the Studio premises at the Member’s risk, and the Company does not accept liability for any loss or damage to such items. 

For security reasons, the Studio front door is locked at class start.

Any forgotten items are collected and kept for 1 month. Members can contact the Studio Manager.


8. Use of Facilities

A Member is entitled to use the Studio’s facilities during scheduled class times, providing always that the Studio may at any time withdraw all or part of its facilities for any period or periods, with notice, where practicable, in connection with any leaning, repair, alteration, or maintenance work or for reasons beyond the control of the Studio or the Company.

Children under the age of 14 may only use the Studio and attend classes if accompanied by an adult and when under their care and supervision. However, the Studio reserves the right of refusal for any minor to practise according to clause 9.1.

We ask for teachers and Members alike to love our space; keep it tidy so that everyone can enjoy our beautiful Studios. 


9. Fitness & Health

Members are advised not to undertake strenuous physical activities without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition. The Studio reserves the right to refuse access to any Member if, in its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of such facilities.

Members with any medical condition should consult their doctor. Members and their guests must notify the Studio of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continued use of the Studio.

Members are required to follow the instructions of the instructor at all times. The instructor’s instruction does not override the members own comfort, common sense, or body’s signals and the member should ensure that they are always comfortable and not proceeding with any position or practice that makes them uncomfortable or causes pain or discomfort. The member always undertakes responsibility for their own safety and comfort and can decline to do anything they do not find comfortable. If the Member performs their own poses or moves without them being suggested by the Instructor, the Member accepts full responsibility for any injuries sustained in those movements or poses and waives any claim against the Studios, Hot Flow Yoga or the Instructor.


10. Dress & Footwear

Members are requested to wear a form of dress appropriate to the practice of hot yoga. We recommend that Members wear stretch pants or shorts and a T-shirt or sports top.

Members should attend sessions barefoot. Footwear should be removed before entry to the studio. Verrucae or warts must be covered: socks or bandages to be worn.

Members should use a yoga mat covered with a towel or yoga sheet to practise in the studio. Studio mats are available. The Company accepts no responsibility for the condition or the availability of the provided mats.


11. Safety & Hygiene

Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the studio of Hot Flow Yoga. 

In the event of a fire, Members are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit.

For hygiene reasons, please use changing and shower rooms to change and have a quick rinse. Please avoid using spray deodorants, hairsprays, etc., to avoid bothering fellow students. Shaving is also not permitted in shower rooms.


12. General Guidelines

Members must at all times observe the Studio guidelines, which may be notified to them from time to time, and are requested to comply with any reasonable directions issued by the management of the Studio to ensure the smooth operation of the Studio for the convenience of all Members.

Members are required to keep their personal contact information up to date within their Eversports account. Failing such notice, all communications shall be assumed to have been received by the Member within 14 days of mailing to the last address notified to the Company.

The Company reserves the right to refuse admission to the Studio.

The Company may, if a Member so wishes, communicate with the Member by email. By providing an email address to the Company, the Member consents to receiving email communications from the Company, including notices pursuant to the Terms & Conditions. The Member also accepts any risk that email may not be a fully secure and confidential means of communication. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of communicating with a Member in this manner.

Studio facilities are provided for use immediately before and after class. Showers are provided for quick rinses after class. Studios are open 15 minutes before and after class. 


13. Limitation of Liability

The Company cannot be held responsible for any service or equipment not being available for whatever reason. The Company reserves the right to make alterations to the types of facilities provided without notice and in its absolute discretion. The Company shall not be liable for any loss occasioned by such alterations except insofar as loss is by law incapable of exclusion.

It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that they are capable of undergoing a routine of exercises provided by any program that they follow or class that they attend. Members accept the risk of injury from performing exercises and are advised to consult their doctor prior to beginning any program or class. The Company accepts no liability for loss or damage to property or injury to Members or their guests to them on the Studio premises or outside the Studio except insofar as such loss, damage, or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.


14. Website Terms & Conditions

Information published on the Company’s website is provided for the use of its visitors, and you are advised that, although care has been taken to ensure technical and factual accuracy, some errors may occur. No guarantee is given of the accuracy or completeness of information on these pages. Please be aware that Hot Flow Yoga may alter the information on its website from time to time. Hot Flow Yoga shall have no liability arising from the use by any party of the information on this website. Hot Flow Yoga does not warrant the information on this website in any way, and in particular, no warranty is given that the website or its contents or hypertext links are virus-free or uncontaminated. You are advised to make your own virus checks and to implement your precautions in this respect. Hot Flow Yoga excludes all liability for contamination or damage caused by any virus or electronic transmission.


15. Privacy & Security Policy

Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorised employees, agents, and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters allow you to opt-out of further mailings.
